Poor nutrition is also A cause of poor sleep. Unhealthy diets can lead to obesity which is Correlated with conditions such as sleep apnea, snoring and restless leg syndrome. Sleep is very important for health,  longevity and cognitive function.

It is never a good idea to eat right before going to sleep.

Digesting takes a lot of energy and so when you are going to sleep and trying to digest a meal that you just ate,  it takes away from all of the other things that your body is supposed to be doing when you are sleeping.

It has also been proven time and time again that your memory and your long-term cognitive function is very dependent on your diet.

This can start as early as your late teens,  early 20s. You don’t really feel the effects of cognitive decline until later in life like dementia and Alzheimer’s.

That’s why creating good habits early and making better choices will be very beneficial in the long run.

Think about your body as your temple and respect and love it so it can serve you well.
