SUGAR ROLLER COASTER

I was on a sugar roller coaster & had no idea why!!😩
I thought eating every 2 hours was a good thing, but instead it was spiking my blood sugar and insulin & was feeling hungry, anxious & irritable.
I was a victim of outdated science that was telling us to eat every 2 hours to “rev up your metabolism”🙈
Why does this roller coaster happen? When we consume foods like processed foods, granola bars, cereals, cakes, cookies breads, rice, pasta, candy, juices, etc. they quickly break down into sugar in the body.
These foods cause blood sugar levels to rise quickly.
Our body and brain burn through them rapidly, and then levels fall about 60-90 minutes later. AKA “The sugar crash”.
This can trigger feelings of hunger and cravings for more sugar & carbohydrates.
This turns into a vicious cycle eating more high-sugar or high-carbohydrate foods to satisfy cravings and puts us right back to where we started 🤦‍♀️
I discovered the ketogenic lifestyle 8 years ago & it completely changed my life!!
I feel amazing & absolutely do not miss that roller coaster ride!!
I do not have any more blood sugar spikes or crashes, I am full for over 5 hours, I have so much more energy & so much more!
Some tips to stabilize your blood sugar⬇️
✅ Ditch the sugar & carbs
✅Don’t drink your calories
✅Ditch the bad oils
✅Eat nutrient dense foods
✅Prioritize protein
✅Aim for 30-50 grams of protein per meal
